We are Rob en Djev. Your hosts during your stay. We live in Portugal since the first of August 2008 and bought a beautiful and modern house at the end of November in Ponte, Vila Verde, with rooms that provide you a beautiful view, luxury and comfort
Our goal is to make our Bed & Breakfast as ecological as possible. This means water from the ground, solar panels to provide warm water and electricity, an ecological swimming pool and more. We will do this step by step and each year add a new change that contributes to an efficient use of nature and her sources. 'Borboleta no Monte' means 'Butterfly on the Hill' and with adding diverse flower species we hope to attract many different butterflies.
We've chosen the North of Portugal because of her green appearance, the friendly people and the astonishing and still untamed nature. The beautiful old historical cities, the delicious port wines and of course the fantastic climate were good reasons too.
In our surroundings you'll find a lot of outdoor activities such as horse back riding, canoeing, mountain climbing and para-gliding. The big cities Porto, Braga, Guimarães and Ponte de Lima are nearby and for a breathtaking walk you'll find the national park 'de peneda Geres' at short (car) distance. For a day at the beach you drive approximately half an hour to the west.
Together with all the beauty that the North of Portugal has to offer we want to make your stay unforgettable.
